National Gathering of Graduate Students 2026

November 24-26, 2026

Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, Toronto, ON

We are excited to share that the Ontario Network Environments for Indigenous Health Research at the Waakebiness Institute for Indigenous Health will be hosting the annual National Gathering of Graduate Students 2026! Please see the Save the Date poster attached.

The National Gathering of Graduate Students (NGGS) is an annual event that brings together Indigenous graduate students researching Indigenous health and well-being. Hosted in a different territory each year, the NGGS is presented by one of the nine Networks for Environments for Indigenous Health Research (NEIHR) in collaboration with the NEIHR National Coordinating Centre.

The purpose of the NGGS is to create a nurturing environment that fosters community and supports Indigenous graduate students. It serves as a central hub for honing skills, enhancing capacities, and exchanging knowledge. Students engage in collaborative learning with peers, Elders, Indigenous educators, and like-minded scholars from coast to coast to coast.

Call for Abstracts is now OPEN.

Submission Deadline: June 19, 2026
